Dungeon Death

User guide

Welcome to Death. This documentation is to provide a quick layout of the game.

The situation is this. It is the late 1400’s and your Lord Akron had sent your band of warriors to attack the southern most castle on the isle of dormasque. Your entire brotherhood was vanquished by an unforeseen evil within the brick walls before you and your fleet even reached the castles’ gate.

An invisible force annihilated your crew one by one. It was as if they had all committed suicide. Your life was only spared to serve as a human sacrifice for the castles’ king, who has been possessed by the evil force around him.

All of the castles guards are either dead or hideously mutated and deranged by the spirit that has taken over. If your body is sacrificed to the evil being, and it eats your soul, it will be powerful enough to leave the castle and wreak havoc upon the rest of the world and possibly the universe.

Overnight, one of the deformed guards died from lack of oxygen to the brain and lungs, for his body’s innards were no longer solid and were not capable of breathing like a normal human. You were then able to grab his keys and escape your cell. You do not know where to go, as you were knocked out cold while being transported into the castle. Seeing that all ways were blocked by guards and fallen rubble, the only direction to find a way out was down.

This is where your journey begins. At the bottom of a stairwell stripped of your weapons and armor, you are naked and defenseless. You need to get your wits about you and find some armory and weapons to evade the guards escape the castle alive. You have a deep feeling in your stomache, however, that to escape the castle, you will have to go through the demon (which we will dub the name ‘X’. since it is nameless) that wanted you here in the first place. The evil. The force. The collector of souls. X.

Here is some of what the evil has done to the castle already:

This is a vision of a few termites that have been mutated by the evil force. They are about twice the size of mice and they are hungry. They can eat through metal, wood, flesh, bone, and most commonly, cinder blocks. Chances are, if you see one this close, it has already taken a chunk out of you.

This is a mutated guard. Notice how all of his chain mail has fallen off and the strange growths on his head, chest, and hands

ITEMS

This is an electronically powered suit that can be easily found in the dungeon. Yes, even the chain mail has been warped by the force. There is a soul stuck inside of the suit that will tell you your body’s health status.

This is electronic soul serum. You drink these potions and restore some life into your suits soul. Remember, you cannot drink these without a suit, for they would be powerless to you.

First Aid. These packs can replenish your health.

The Holy Bible. If you want to have any chance escaping the castle, you must retrieve some bibles, they are essential to your soul staying intact with your body.

This is an interplanetary wormhole, created by X to allow his minions to travel through the castle with ease, you can use these to your advantage as well, but be careful, and not all warps are safe to enter.

This is a sword in its sheathe. It is completely white because of it’s beaming power that is being emitted from it. When you equip the sword, IT will return to normal color, to deceive enemies….or else they would instantly run in sight of its power.

This is holy water. You can refresh your own soul by dipping your hands in this fresh h20 that was blessed by God himself.

You will come across many emblems of this nature. They are usually levers of some sort. Pressing these will activate something in the castle that should allow you to go further into your quest.

Your second soul

+ If you pick up the suit, you will have two souls….but if you die, the suit soul dies...but if the suit dies, you can always replenish it with the electronic soul serum.

+ The suit has a built in side panel on the left side of the suit. If you press the Esc key on that panel, the suit soul will bring up a menu in front of your eyes where you will have the option to save your progress in the castle in case you die. The suit soul puts an imprint on time and can return you to the spot of saving in the history if so needed.

+ The suit will sometimes talk to you, or sometimes it will more subtly display some text on the screen for you to read.

Good luck
